After several consecutive years of low cost-of-living adjustments, America’s seniors are now being given
some cause for optimism.
The Senior Citizens League (TSCL) estimates next year’s cost-of-living adjustment will be 2.1%, a staggering improvement over last year’s paltry 0.3%. Indeed, the past few years of cost-of-living adjustments have averaged 1%,
substantially below the Social Security Trustees’s intermediate projections of 2.6% per year.
